he Sports Illustrated publishes its Swimsuit Issue every year and, boy! they do a fantastic job. The publication, like all others, usually makes sure the photographs are retouched to perfection, and that “blemishes” on the models are taken out.
However, the magazine has made an unexampled move by including its first-ever unedited photos in its 2018 issue. Furthermore, the photographs were shot by female photographers. This is indeed a huge step forward to the wave of feminism and quest to empower women.
Here is the 2018 edition of Sports Illustrated swimsuit photos. Let’s take a look!
1. Kate Upton
This veteran Sports Illustrated model has been doing what she does best for a whole decade.
Kate had her cover debut in 2011 and was after that named the “Rookie of the Year.” She appeared on covers also in 2012, 2013, 2017 and, of course, the 2018 edition of the Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition.
2. Lais Ribeiro
The above picture of stunning Brazilian born victoria’s secret’s model, Lias Ribero, was shot by Ben watts in the Bahamas for 2018 edition. Her jolly colored bikini does not leave much to the imagination.
The photographs are so flawless and remember its unedited.
3. Bianca Balti
This photoshoot was taken by Yu Tsai in Aruba, and the sheer swimsuit is from Milkbaby Bikini by Cat Thordarson.
4. Barbara Palvin
The Hungarian model was photographed by Ben Watts in the Bahamas.
5. Brenna Huckaby
First amputee and Paralympian to pose for Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit, Brenna Huckaby, is second best to no one on this list. Brenna is truly an inspiration to many in this world.
6. Samantha Hopes
These amazing shots were taken on the Caribbean island if Nevis by Josie Clough. The swimsuits are designed by Hunza D.
7. Hailey Clauson
Its rather hard to believe but even this fierce photos are unedited.
8. Jasmyn Wilkins
The up and coming model, Jasmyn Wilkins, was shot by Josie Clough in Nevis. The swimsuit is designed by INC swim, and she looks smoking in it.
9. Kate Wasley
Australian-born Kate Wasley is one of the two plus-sized models to feature in this edition. She has taken the industry by storm, and there’s a lot to come forth in future.
10. Genie Bouchard
Canadian tennis player, Genie Bouchard, doesn’t only know to afire the tennis court, but she also got that fire with her looks.
This year, beautiful women of a wider variety of background, shapes, and sizes featured in the highly regarded Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Including, four returning models, five mothers, five international athletes, four authors, six amateur modes and twelve rookies. Also, for the first time in a while, the magazine has taken a black model on this year’s edition of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. As a matter of fact, she is the third model, Tyra Banks, and Beyonce, to be featured on the cover.
